Discipleship/Spiritual Formation
§ Romans 12:1-2 –
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Ready believers for Christian Service
Accomplished through:
Leadership Development/Equipping
§ Luke 12:35 -
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.”
§ 2 Timothy 3:16-17 -
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
"We provide a place for people to reflect, draw near to God, and make room for Him to begin a new work of restoration from the brokenness, weariness, and emptiness that is the reality of this world. (“Even soldiers need a quiet place to rest...” From The Warrior is a Child). As our world becomes more complex and complicated, a place like Denton Camp becomes more valuable in that it helps us to protect times of rest. It helps us to celebrate the things that are truly valuable and eternal. It helps us to be enabled and encouraged.
As the world moves at lightning speed and humanity uses the earth for its own selfish gain, sacred spaces like these grounds become markers in our lives where we can come remember and celebrate what God has done and be encouraged that He is still working!"
